The top strap with the size adjuster loops around your headrest.

On the single car seat protector, the other strap down wraps around the back of your seat.

On the double car seat protector, the other straps you’re seeing are for the optional side-flap door protectors. They’re there so you can clip the flaps up if you want extra side protection, but they don’t need to attach to anything if you prefer to leave the flaps hanging down
